ipod blues

yesterday i received an email from apple to tell me that my ipod was fine and winging its way back to me. I got it back today together with a letter saying that my ipod had been abused and apple were not prepared to repair it. I wasn't happy as I'm certain that my ipod hasn't been abused, although i confess that i have fought the temptation to throw it out of the window. So I phoned apple in India and told them of my innocence, they said if i sent it back the same thing would keep happening, so they asked me if i was prepared to take it to my nearest service centre. Luckily this is only 12 miles away so i dropped it off
today. The man there said they are getting loads of ipods as apple really don't like replacing them if they are unfixable. Next time I'll be getting a Creative or a Sony, ipods suck, it's official.

This is typical of a big company these days...gee does that make sound old or what? ;) They are making so much money that they just don't care about individual consumers.

I was told when I bought mine if I had any problems just take it back to where I bought it...that of course changed as soon as I had a problem!

My brother had similar problems when he sent his Toshiba laptop to be repaired. It took six months before he got it back.

I have had bad luck with the apple stores locally with other issues non ipod related. It too is going to make me think twice before making another purchase from them.

I swear by Creative: best music company I've ever bought from.
I used to have the Creative Muvo, now I have the Creative Zen 20G: much much better way to go, and I know for a fact they replace and fix their products.

I own a Creative and I have to say that I'm very pleased with it. It was cheaper than the iPod and I think it's much better (even though I wouldn't mind if it were thinner and lighter like the iPod).

I have to admit, I was surprised when my iPod mini battery died within 6 months of owning it.... surprised because Apple replaced it with a new one
